Spellbreak Duos mode has been added back into the gam

Spellbreak is always updating their marketplace with new ways to truly make your Battlemage your own, and today's shop update brings three new additions to the mix that fans will not want to miss out on. The shop update features a new outfit, a Cloudburst, and an Afterglow, and while all three are pretty slick, it's the outfit that really steals the show. Spellbreak has its share of skins to unlock and purchase, but there's an argument to be made that the game still lacks in that area, which is why the Smoldering Warrior outfit is most welcome. The outfit features a hooded suit that features orange neon glow effects throughout, though it's the design on the chest that kind of gives that Captain Marvel vibe, at least to me.

The magical battle royale Spellbreak fully released last fall with high player anticipation. There are three modes to play in Spellbreak's battle royale: Solo, Duo, and Squad. However, Duos mode was locked at launch and only unlocked for a brief period shortly after. Duos allow players to team up with a friend or a stranger as two-player teams and received positive reception from players.

Spellbreak shared the announcement on Twitter, writing "Looks like you Breakers are loving Duos mode! Since so many of you have been playing it, we have decided to keep it open for the foreseeable future. Grab your partner and we’ll see you both in the Hollow Lands. #Spellbreak"

It's a good move and should make the player community happy. If you've been waiting to give it a go, now is the perfect time to grab a friend and jump on in.

Alongside duos mode, Spellbreak will be getting new outfits with which to spice up your avatar’s in-game appearance. As is common in a lot of battle royale games, we will see Spellbreak’s map gradually morph during future updates – there will also be a 9 versus 9 Clash team battle mode.

It looks like Duos mode was reopened to test the waters, and because so many players are enjoying playing in pairs, Spellbreak will keep it unlocked for the time being. Fans of the battle royale are happy to see the response to fan demand, though some Breakers are still noting long queue times for Duos mode.
